Tournament Preview

Following on from impressive displays by their junior teams in 2017 and their own fifth placed finish at each of the previous two World Team Championship tournament's, the Venezuelan pro players will be looking to step up and mount a major a challenge in 2018.

The always dangerous Italians will be among the favourites once again having seen their players triumph in Moscow last year and other past winners, Brazil and more recently hosts Russia, will also have plenty to say about the destination of the title this year.

About the event

The Beach Tennis World Team Championship is a mixed competition in which nations compete against each other as a team. Each team is comprised of two men and two women, with ties consisting of a men’s doubles, women’s doubles and a mixed doubles match.

The Russian Tennis Federation has been the host to the Tour's flagship team competition since its inception in 2012. The 2015 championship was the first to feature a junior event introducing a new generation to team competition.
